This report helps users track the quantity of SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) that have been allocated but not yet fulfilled. It is especially useful for monitoring inventory reserved for upcoming transfers or customer orders.
The following transfer-related documents will trigger allocation of SKU quantities. Once these documents are created and confirmed, the quantity involved will be allocated (reserved) in the system, reducing the available stock for other purposes.
1. Store Delivery (Warehouse to Store)
Created when stock is transferred from the warehouse to a retail store.
The allocated quantity reflects the stock reserved at the warehouse before it is shipped out.
2. Store Return (Store to Warehouse)
Created when a store returns stock to the warehouse.
Allocation is triggered on the store’s side until the stock is physically returned and received.
3. Warehouse to Warehouse Transfer
Used when stock moves between two warehouse locations.
The stock is allocated from the source warehouse and only becomes available again once received by the destination.
4. Store to Store Transfer
Initiated when stock moves from one store to another store.
Allocation is done on the sending store, ensuring the stock is not available for sale or transfer again during the movement process.
5. Wholesale Sales Order (WSO)
When a wholesale customer places a sales order and the order is confirmed, the system allocates the stock to fulfill this order.
The allocated stock is held for this customer and deducted from available inventory.
Use Case Example
If a product has:
100 units in stock
A Transfer of 20 units created
A Wholesale Sales Order (WSO) of 20 units confirmed
Then:
Allocated Qty = 40
Available Qty = 60 (100 in stock - 40 allocated)
This means 60 units are still available for sale or further allocation, while 40 units are reserved for existing transfer and wholesale orders.
