Purpose
The Store Transfer Request module is used to initiate stock transfers from one store to another store. This supports stock balancing across branches when one store is overstocked and another needs replenishment. This module serves as a backend initiation to generate a picking job in M-POS, where store users perform the actual picking and shipping.
Prerequisites
Access to Transfer Module > Store Transfer Out > Transfer Request.
Both source and destination stores must be set up in the system.
Steps
Step 1 – Create a New Store Transfer Request
Go to Transfer Module > Store Transfer Out > Transfer Request.
Click Add.
Populate the top panel:
From Location – Select the source store (3-dotted button).
To Location – Select the destination store (3-dotted button).
Note – Optional field for internal reference.
Allow Over-Allocation (checkbox) – Tick this if you want to bypass stock shortages at the From Location and still create a picking job.
Step 2 – Input SKUs
Option 1 – Manual Selection
Under the SKU column, click into the empty row.
Click the 3-dotted button.
Use filters in the pop-up window to search and select SKUs.
Option 2 – Bulk Import
Click Download Template.
Populate the Excel template with SKU details and quantities.
Save the file and return to the module.
Click Import to upload the populated template.
Step 3 – Finalize Store Transfer Request
Click Save to keep the request as draft.
Once verified, click Confirm to finalize.
A Store Transfer Picking job will be created in E-Retail and sent to M-POS for the source store to perform picking and shipping.
Use Print or Export to generate documentation.
Step 4 – Cancel if Necessary
After confirmation, if M-POS users have not yet picked, backend users may:
Delete the picking document in Transfer Module > Store Transfer Out >Transfer Picking module.
Click Cancel to delete the picking job from M-POS.
This will also close the Transfer Request.
Notes / Tips
The Allow Over-Allocation checkbox is useful when you want to create a transfer job even if stock levels at the From Location are insufficient.
Works the same way as Store Delivery, Warehouse Transfer, and Store Return, but direction is Store → Store.
Always confirm the correct From Location (source store) and To Location (destination store) to avoid errors.
Only requests not yet picked can be cancelled. Once picking begins in M-POS, cancellation is no longer allowed.
Use Export for reconciliation, stock balancing records, and audit trails.
