This report shows stock that has been sent out (transferred) from one location but not yet received at the destination. It helps users monitor shipments that are in transit, ensuring receiving actions are not missed.
What Causes In-Transit Quantity?
In-transit quantity is triggered when Transfer Out documents are confirmed, but the receiving location has not yet completed the receiving process.
These include the following transfer scenarios:
1. Store Delivery (Warehouse → Store)
Warehouse has issued the stock.
Store has not yet received it in the system.
2. Store Return (Store → Warehouse)
Store has sent the return.
Warehouse has not performed receiving yet.
3. Warehouse to Warehouse Transfer
Source warehouse has shipped the items.
Destination warehouse has not received them yet.
4. Store to Store Transfer
Sending store has transferred out the items.
Receiving store has not acknowledged receipt in the system.
Understanding the Report
SKU: Product code.
From Location: Origin of the stock transfer.
To Location: Destination expected to receive the stock.
In-Transit Qty: Quantity that has been shipped out but not yet received.
Document Reference: Links to the originating transfer document.
Use Case Example
If a warehouse ships 50 units of a SKU to a store, and the store has not yet received it:
In-Transit Qty = 50
Warehouse stock is reduced.
Store has not reflected the incoming stock yet.
Tips
Use this report to follow up with receiving locations and avoid inventory mismatches.
Helps identify delays or missed receiving actions in daily operations.
