Purpose

The Product Master function in M-POS allows store users to create new product entries directly from the POS device. This is useful for quickly adding items on the shop floor. However, unlike E-Retail Product Master, the M-POS Product Master captures only basic product information. Products created here are always saved as drafts and must be reviewed, completed, and confirmed later in E-Retail Product Master by HQ or Merchandising.

Prerequisites

• Access to M-POS > Product Master (main page after login).

• Knowledge of product details (codes, supplier, colour/size, retail/purchase cost).

Steps

Step 1 – Access Product Master

1. Log in to M-POS.

2. On the main page, tap Product Master.

Step 2 – Create a New Product

1. Tap the “+” button.

2. Fill in the required fields:

   • SKU Code (mandatory)

   • Product Name (mandatory)

   • Level 1–4 (Product Hierarchy) (mandatory)

   • Retail Price

   • Purchase Cost

   • Direct Cost

   • Note

   • Supplier (mandatory)

   • Colour (mandatory)

   • Size Group (mandatory)

   • Size (mandatory)

3. Tap Save as draft.

Step 3 – Manage Drafted Products

• After saving, you’ll return to the main Product Master page.

• Options available:

  • Tap “+” to add more products.

  • Tap the magnifying glass icon to search for drafted products and edit them.

Notes / Tips

• Mandatory fields: SKU Code, Product Name, Level 1–4, Supplier, Colour, Size Group, Size.

• Products created in M-POS remain in draft until completed in E-Retail Product Master.

• HQ/Merchandising must review, add additional information, and confirm drafts in E-Retail for products to be fully activated.

• M-POS is designed for quick creation, while E-Retail ensures full product data completeness.
