Purpose
The Product Attribute Loader module is used to assign or update attributes for products in bulk. This is useful when applying consistent attributes (e.g., material, style, fit) across many products at once. Importing through this loader will overwrite existing attributes for the selected products.
Prerequisites
Products must already be created in Product Master.
Attribute pre-setup must be completed:
Product Attribute Setup – Master Setup > Product Setup > Attribute Setup > Product Attribute Setup (to create attribute types).
Attribute Detail Setup – Master Setup > Product Setup > Attribute Setup > Attribute Detail Setup (to create codes & descriptions under each type).
Steps
Step 1 – Download Template
Go to Master Setup > Data Loader > Product Attribute Loader.
Click Download Template.
Save the Excel file to your PC.
Step 2 – Populate Template
In the Excel file:
Input Product Code for each product.
For each attribute type column:
Enter the Attribute Code if already created.
Leave blank if no attribute applies.
If creating a new attribute, input a new Attribute Code and Description (system will create it automatically under the attribute type).
⚠️ Reminder: Whatever is imported will overwrite the current product attributes.
Step 3 – Import Template
Return to Product Attribute Loader.
Click Import and select the populated Excel file.
The system will process the file and show results at the bottom:
Total Lines
Succeeded Lines
Failed Lines
Step 4 – Correct Errors if Needed
Failed rows will be highlighted with error messages.
Export options:
Export Fail Data → export only failed rows.
Export All Data → export both succeeded and failed rows.
Correct errors in Excel and re-import until all lines succeed.
Step 5 – Confirm Import
Once all rows succeed, click Confirm.
The attributes will be updated in the system for the listed products.
Notes / Tips
Always double-check that attribute types and codes are pre-set before importing.
Use this loader only when managing attributes in bulk. For single product edits, use Product Master instead.
Importing new codes and descriptions in the template will automatically create them under the respective attribute type.
Keep backup of exported product attributes before large imports, in case rollback is needed.
