Purpose
The Spot Check Item module is used by HQ or Merchandising in E-Retail to initiate spot check jobs for M-POS users. This allows stores to perform blind scanning of selected SKUs, helping verify stock accuracy without exposing system quantities upfront. This module serves as a backend initiation in E-Retail, while the actual spot check is executed by store staff in M-POS.
Prerequisites
Access to Spot Check > Create Spot Check Item in E-Retail.
SKU codes already maintained in Product Master.
Store or warehouse location must be set up.
Steps
Step 1 – Create Spot Check Job in E-Retail
Go to Spot Check > Create Spot Check Item.
Select the Location (store/warehouse).
Enter a Note if needed (optional).
Click New.
Step 2 – Input SKUs
Option 1 – Individual Entry
Input SKUs manually one by one into the list.
Option 2 – Bulk Import
Before creating a new record, click Download Template.

Save the file.
Back in the module, click Import to upload the populated list.
Step 3 – Finalize Spot Check Job
Click Save to keep the spot check job as draft.
Once verified, click Confirm.
This sends the spot check job to M-POS for execution.
Step 4 – Sync & Perform Spot Check in M-POS
On the M-POS device, go to Backoffice > Sync > Sync to download the spot check job.
Then go to Backoffice > Spot Check.
Select the job and perform blind scanning of the SKUs.
Notes / Tips
Spot Check is blind scanning — M-POS users will not see system stock quantities during the count.
Use Notes in E-Retail for instructions (e.g., “Check accessories section” or “Focus on top-selling SKUs”).
Always Confirm jobs in E-Retail to push them into M-POS. Drafts will not appear on M-POS.
