Setup QR Login for E-POS

Purpose

The QR Code Login feature allows cashiers or store staff to log in to E-POS quickly and securely using a QR code instead of typing a username and password. This setup is performed in E-Manager, and the QR code becomes active after syncing.

Prerequisites

  • Access to E-Manager with admin rights.

  • User accounts already created (or create new accounts before setting up QR login).

Steps

Step 1 – Create a New User (Only If Needed. Otherwise, Skip to Step 2)

  1. Log in to E-Manager.

  2. Go to Security > Users.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Enter the required user details and assign Roles.

  5. Click Save.

Step 2 – Set QR Code Authentication

  1. In E-Manager, go to Security > Users.

  2. Search or filter to locate the user, then click on the username.

  3. Click the Auth tab.

  4. If only Username/Password is shown:

    • Click Add and choose Barcode and click "Add"

  5. If both Username/Password and Barcode are shown:

    • Select Barcode, then click Edit.

  6. In the Barcode field, input the QR code value you want to assign.

  7. Click Save.

Step 3 – Sync to Apply QR Code

  1. Perform a Sync in E-Manager.

  2. Perform a Sync in E-POS.

    • This ensures the QR code login takes effect immediately.

    • If not synced, the update will only take effect on the next day.

Notes / Tips

  • Always ensure roles are assigned when creating a new user, otherwise the login will see no functions.

  • The QR code value entered in Barcode must match the printed/issued QR code for the user.

  • Use Sync in both E-Manager and E-POS for same-day activation.

  • If unsure, test the QR login after syncing to confirm setup.
